The stuff covered in blood looks like dead but these eels are stil alive and remain like that for few more hours; the heads are on to prolonge the agony in order to keep the meat fresh. Yep, this is China.
Honestly, I don’t think this is more cruel than massive meat-production in the rest of the World.

The lady on the pic was opening each animal with the help of a plank and sharp nail. She had great fun doing it.
